That’s the case with the new Intel NUC 13 Extreme. It combines gaming and the latest unlocked 13th Gen Intel Core Processors to make one dynamic duo.
The Intel NUC 13 Extreme is the most powerful Intel NUC device to date. Thanks to the new CPUs, these devices offer nearly twice the base power of the previous generation.
The new Intel NUC 13 Extreme is available as a full kit, which includes the Compute Element installed in the chassis with a power supply. You can also purchase the Compute Element by itself to use with a supported non-Intel chassis.
Intel NUC 13 Extreme Kit
Intel NUC Extreme kits are customizable small form-factor PCs. They’re ready to accept a wide range of memory, PCIe add-in cards and storage options.
The NUC 13 Extreme Kit, code-named Raptor Canyon, offers a choice of i9, i7, and i5 SKUs of the 13th Gen Intel Core Processors. The form factor is compact, measuring 12.5 x 13.3 x 5.1 inches. The chassis is vented on 5 sides, maximizing airflow and cooling.
You will need to add memory, storage and an operating system. For memory, the kit can take up to 64GB of dual-channel DDR5. Storage options include PCIe 4 NVMe and SATA SSD. There’s also a slot for a triple-wide PCIe x16 Gen5 graphics card. For the OS, you can choose from Windows 11 or various Linux distributions.
For connectivity, the kit offers ports for HDMI, Thunderbolt, 10GbE and 2.5 GbE LAN, USB 3.2, and more. It also supports Intel Wi-Fi 6E, both 2.5- and 3.5-inch HDD, and up to three 4K displays with Intel UHD graphics.
Intel NUC 13 Extreme Compute Element
Intel NUC Compute Elements are designed with the channel in mind. They give you a way to design and build the integrated solutions and PCs your customers want.
The Intel NUC 13 Extreme Compute Element features a choice of unlocked 13th Gen Intel Core i5, i7 or i9 processors. It measures 12 x 1.9 x 5.4 inches. There’s also a new thermal solution to keep things cool. It’s designed to optimize airflow for lower temperatures and less noise, even during hours of intense gameplay.
The Intel NUC 13 Extreme Compute Element is Windows 11 logo’d. And it’s covered by Intel’s 3-year limited warranty.
Shipments are expected to start later this year with a more general rollout in early 2023. The Intel NUC 13 Extreme Kit will retail for about $1,180 to $1,550, depending on configuration. The Compute Element in various configurations will retail for $760 to $1,100.
